Why is black walnut more expensive?

Black walnut costs more than many other woods because:
1). The raw material is relatively scarce and has a 50–100 year growth cycle.
2). Its usable yield is relatively low.
3). FAS grade requires a high proportion of clear usable material.
4). It has highly distinctive natural grain and strong visual appeal.
5). It combines high hardness, good strength, refined texture, and a warm, elegant tone and is considered one of the world’s premium hardwoods.

Can I choose the grain or color?

Natural wood products are unique, and each piece has its own variations in grain, texture, and color. These natural characteristics are part of the beauty and authenticity of real wood. While we cannot guarantee a specific grain pattern or color selection, we carefully select and match materials to ensure a balanced and attractive overall appearance. Slight variations between pieces are normal and should be appreciated as part of the natural character of the wood.

Will the sofa sag over time?

Our sofas are constructed with high-resilience foam cushions and durable imported pine frames, designed to maintain their comfort, support, and structural integrity over time under normal use. The foam is covered by a 5-year warranty, while the frame is covered by a 10-year warranty. During the warranty period, we will address issues such as abnormal sagging or structural looseness caused by manufacturing defects or material-related concerns, excluding damage resulting from improper use or handling.

Materials & Finishes

Will solid wood crack?

Solid wood always carries some risk of cracking, regardless of price. We strictly control the moisture content of the wood before it leaves the factory, so under normal use it should not crack. We also provide an extended 10-year warranty and will address quality-related issues during the warranty period.

What is the difference between genuine leather and synthetic leather?

Genuine leather is natural leather with good elasticity and breathability, distinctive grain, and a surface that develops changing character over time. Synthetic leather such as PU or PVC has a more uniform texture, is water-resistant and easy to clean, and is generally less expensive, but its breathability and durability are usually lower than genuine leather.

What brand of glue do you use?

Solid-wood furniture generally requires a small amount of glue. Our construction is primarily based on traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, with glue used only as an auxiliary aid. We use Koyo glue from Japan, which is an environmentally friendly adhesive.

What are the advantages of fire-resistant board?

Key advantages include:
• Flame retardant and heat resistant
• Water resistant and less prone to swelling
• Oil and stain resistant and easy to clean
• Scratch resistant and resistant to deformation
• Low formaldehyde and environmentally friendly
• Self-repairing surface properties

Will electroplated stainless steel rust?

The stainless-steel base is rust-resistant, and the black titanium electroplated layer adds another level of protection. Under normal indoor use in a dry environment, it should not rust. If it is exposed to salt water or strong acids/alkalis for long periods, regular cleaning and maintenance are recommended to extend its service life.

What are the advantages of cherry wood?

We use imported North American SUP-grade cherry wood selected from FAS-grade material. It has fine grain, long-lasting durability, good resistance to decay, and strong load-bearing performance. Its color develops beautifully from light to deeper tones, making it suitable for high-quality furniture and compatible with many interior styles.

What is the difference between cast iron and stainless steel?

Cast iron offers excellent wear resistance and structural stability, but its brittleness makes it more susceptible to cracking under sudden impact or extreme temperature changes. Stainless steel provides superior strength, durability, and corrosion resistance, making it a more reliable choice for long-term use and high-frequency applications. For frequently used furniture such as dining chairs, stainless steel generally offers better overall performance and longevity. Cast iron remains a cost-effective material option due to its lower manufacturing cost.

Does the mattress use glue?

Our mattresses are manufactured using a physical heat-pressing process without the use of adhesives. This glue-free construction helps minimize potential chemical concerns at the source while creating a cleaner and healthier sleep environment. Each mattress is designed to be formaldehyde-free with minimal odor, providing a more comfortable and reassuring sleep experience.

Is the glass tempered?

Yes. Our glass panels are processed through a professional tempering treatment to enhance strength and safety. In the unlikely event of breakage, tempered glass is designed to fracture into small, relatively blunt granules rather than sharp shards, helping reduce the risk of injury and meeting relevant safety standards.

How many boards are joined together?

There is no fixed number of boards used in the construction, as the selection depends on the characteristics and dimensions of each piece of wood. Even when using FAS-grade lumber, both wider and narrower boards may be carefully selected to achieve the best balance between stability and appearance. Each board is typically around 5–10 cm in width. Extremely wide solid wood panels are more susceptible to natural movement, including cracking or warping, so multiple boards are often joined together to enhance structural stability. Our craftsmen carefully match the wood grain and color during the joining process to create a harmonious and refined overall appearance.

Are the stainless-steel legs hollow or solid?

Our stainless-steel legs feature a hollow construction, which allows for greater design flexibility while maintaining excellent strength and durability. Compared with solid steel, hollow stainless steel provides better adaptability for modern furniture designs without compromising structural performance. This construction helps achieve a balance between aesthetics, stability, and long-term reliability.

Are the stainless-steel legs stable?

Yes. Our stainless-steel legs are engineered for reliable stability and everyday durability. The hollow stainless-steel construction provides excellent strength, impact resistance, and structural support while allowing for refined and versatile designs. Under normal use, the legs are designed to maintain their stability and performance over time.

Where is glue used in the furniture?

Adhesives may be used in specific areas of furniture construction as a supplementary bonding method to enhance overall stability and durability. Common applications include:

1). Mortise-and-tenon joints, where glue is used as an additional reinforcement.
2). Panel connections, such as tabletops and cabinet surfaces.
3). Connections between auxiliary components and the main structural frame.
4). Decorative elements, including carved or detailed components.

The use of adhesives is carefully controlled and combined with traditional joinery techniques to ensure structural integrity and long-term performance.

After-Sales

Can custom holes be made in the furniture?

Custom holes can be made in the back panel of the furniture if needed. We recommend confirming the exact hole size and placement after the item has been delivered and inspected. For the best results, please have a qualified professional installer perform any drilling or modifications on site.

Before making any alterations, please ensure that the furniture has been carefully inspected and that you are fully satisfied with its condition. Please note that once holes have been drilled or the item has been modified, it will no longer be eligible for return or exchange due to quality concerns, as such modifications may affect the item’s resale condition.
