Accent Cabinet with Glass Display Shelf, Mid Century Narrow Storage Cabinet with Three Drawers
An open shelf on top, drawers underneath.
Most storage cabinets ask you to choose between showing things and putting them away. This one does both in a 23.6 in (60 cm) footprint. The upper tier is left open, split by a tinted glass shelf that divides it into two levels without closing either one off, so a small speaker, a row of coffee tins, a stack of books or whatever you actually want to look at stays in sight and in reach. Below it, three drawers take everything that should not be on display.
Three drawers, each a real drawer.
The upper drawer is faced in muted green with open louvers cut into it, so air passes through instead of sitting inside. The two below are plain wood. All three give you 20.4 x 10.8 x 3.2 in (51.7 x 27.5 x 8.1 cm) of clear space inside and run on metal undermount tracks, quiet and even all the way out.
Mid century color blocking with steel and glass.
Warm wood, muted green and tinted glass is a combination out of the 1950s and 60s. Slim stainless steel posts are let into the front corners and run down the full height, and the drawers open on carved pulls rather than hardware standing proud of the front. The finish is three base coats and a topcoat.
Pressed panels are not in it.
The carcase, drawer boxes and fronts are all thermally modified poplar, heat treated in a sealed kiln so the wood stays dimensionally stable and handles humidity. Nothing in it is plywood or particleboard, so there is no panel adhesive and no added formaldehyde. A third party lab tested this construction and found formaldehyde not detected.
A 15.7 in deep top that earns its keep.
At 35.4 in (90 cm) high the top lands at counter height, and the 15.7 in (40 cm) depth takes a full size espresso machine, a countertop oven, or a row of bottles and glasses. It works at the end of a sofa, as a drinks station beside a dining table, or along a bedroom wall.
Flat to the floor, flush to the wall, and it arrives assembled.
It sits on a full width plinth 2.4 in (6 cm) thick instead of legs, spreading the load across its whole width. The plinth is set back so the cabinet clears a baseboard, and a cord channel in the top lets a charger or appliance cable disappear behind it. No flat pack, no hardware bag. Put it where you want it and start filling it.

NOTES
01 / Color Blocking
One cabinet, a whole new room. Mid century color blocking with real depth.
Warm wood meets a bright painted panel, vintage and modern in the same piece, and the result has layers you keep noticing. Put it anywhere and it becomes the thing the room points at. Clutter in the living room, folded clothes in the bedroom, table linens and flatware in the dining area. One cabinet, many jobs, and it goes wherever the storage is short. The color pairing has nerve without shouting, so it settles in next to almost any style you already own and gives every room a little more composure.
02 / Storage and Display
Some of it on show, the rest put away
The upper tier is left open, split by a tinted glass shelf that gives books and objects two levels to sit on without closing either one off. Below it, three drawers handle the rest, each with 20.4 x 10.8 x 3.2 in (51.7 x 27.5 x 8.1 cm) of clear space inside, enough for snacks, chargers, household odds and ends. Metal undermount rails keep every pull smooth rather than sticky. Display and storage in one cabinet, holding both the things you like looking at and the things you would rather not.
03 / Safe to Live With
Solid wood all the way through, nothing to air out
Solid wood inside and out. No plywood, no particleboard, no filler species. That means no panel adhesive, which is where added formaldehyde comes from in most case goods. A third party lab tested this cabinet and found formaldehyde not detected. It is dense, it is built to last, and it is safe to live with from day one, including in a house with kids.
04 / Build the Series
Build the set, keep the look
The Silver Wing series is made to be combined. A 5 drawer chest, a 6 drawer, a 9 drawer, a nightstand and a vanity, same wood, same colors, same finish and same joinery. Line them up along one wall or mix heights across a bedroom, a living room and an entry, and the staggered silhouette becomes the look rather than an accident. Adding storage later does not mean hunting for something that almost matches. One series, and the whole house is furnished.
