Black Leather Lounge Chair with Casters, Tufted Mid Century Modern Accent Chair for Living Room
The reading chair you roll to wherever the light is.
The seat, back and arms are imported top grain leather with an oil wax pull-up finish, the kind that lightens where it folds and darkens back as it's handled. The back is tufted, buttoned down into soft squares that hold their shape. Black cushions sit in a caramel outer shell, carried on a stainless steel tubular frame that keeps the whole thing visually light.
That frame is where the mid century part shows. Bent tube, no skirt, nothing applied, a cross brace underneath doing the work instead of a solid base.
The back catches you in four places on the way down: head, neck, mid back, and the small of your back. The seat is 22 in (56 cm) deep and sits 15 in (38 cm) off the floor, low and open rather than upright. The arms are 4.7 in (12 cm) wide, enough to rest a forearm on rather than just a wrist. It's the posture for a magazine and an hour, not for a dinner table.
Four swivel casters run underneath. Push it toward the window in the afternoon, turn it to face the room when people come over, or take it out to the balcony. No lifting, no dragging.
Cushions are foam wrapped in polyester fiber, and the covers come off. It arrives flat and takes a few minutes to put together.

NOTES
01 / THE FINISH
Oil wax leather, warm from the first day
The oils are worked into the hide rather than coated onto it, soaking down through the fibers and feeding the leather from the inside. There is no heavy, greasy film on the surface, and the hand gets softer the more you use it. Over months the leather darkens where you sit and where your hands land, and a patina builds that nobody can apply at the factory. It stays flexible under that, and it breathes, so you are not sitting on something that feels sealed.
02 / THE BACK
Four points of support, head to lower back
Head, neck, mid back and lumbar, each picked up in turn as you lean into the chair. Pressure spreads across all four instead of landing on one. The back sits at a 115° recline, which is the angle where you stop holding yourself up and the chair takes over. Reading, watching something, or asleep for twenty minutes in the afternoon, there is a position in it that works.
03 / THE FRAME
Heavy gauge stainless steel on swivel casters
The frame is thick walled stainless steel, enough to stay square under years of people dropping into it. It is electroplated and then sealed, so it resists fingerprints and water marks and does not rust or dull where hands touch it. Four swivel casters underneath mean it moves when you want it to and stays where you put it. Solid and light at the same time, which is the hard combination.
04 / THE SEAT
22 in deep, with arms wide enough to use
The seat is 22 in (56 cm) deep, which is room to sit cross legged or sideways rather than squarely facing forward. The arms are 4.7 in (12 cm) wide and flat on top, so a forearm rests on them instead of balancing on an edge, and it still feels fine an hour later. Between the depth and the arms, the chair lets you spread out rather than holding you in one position.
