A chair you'll notice from across the room. The Z Chair gets its name from the arm and back support, which sweep up from the seat in a single Z shaped line, a classic shape from Danish design.

The frame is European beech, strong enough to take daily meals for years. The seat and back are covered in chenille, a soft, fine textured fabric that feels warm against the skin. Underneath is high resilience 42D foam over a plywood seat base. It gives when you sit down and springs back when you stand, without going flat over time.

The backrest tilts back slightly to support your lower back, so a long dinner or an afternoon of reading stays comfortable. The seat is 16.9 inches (43 cm) wide and deep enough to shift and settle in. At 18.5 inches (47 cm) high, it lets most people sit with their feet flat on the floor.

It works well beyond the dining room. Pull it up to a desk for work, set one by the window as a reading chair, or pair it with a round table for a small breakfast nook. Ocean blue brings a bold pop of color. Amber brown blends with warm wood tones. Mixing one of each around the same table looks great too.
