Lift Top Coffee Table with Nesting Side Table, Sintered Stone Top and Hidden Storage on Casters
Three states in the footprint of one
Closed, it is a 30.7 × 19.3 in (78 × 49 cm) coffee table. Pull the side section out and it runs 50.8 in (129 cm) along the sofa, with a second surface for whoever else is sitting there. Lift the main top and it rises to 26 in (66 cm) off the floor, which is laptop height from a sofa cushion, so you stop hunching over your knees. All three states are the same piece of furniture. Nothing gets carried in from another room and nothing gets stored in a closet.
The surface is sintered stone, 0.43 in (11 mm) thick, rated Mohs 7. That is harder than a steel knife blade, so it does not scratch from keys, mugs or a cutting board, and it does not stain from coffee, wine or oil. Heat does not mark it either. It is the same material kitchens use for countertops, which is why the page shows it being used as one. No coasters, no trivets, no placemats between you and the table.
Storage in three places
Under the lift top is a hidden compartment measuring 15.7 × 14.4 × 3.9 in (40 × 36.5 × 10 cm), which swallows remotes, chargers, a laptop and the pile of things that otherwise live on the table. The main case carries an open shelf below it with 7.9 in (20 cm) of clearance, deep enough for books laid flat, a speaker or a row of bottles. The side table has two open tiers of its own, 5.7 in (14.5 cm) on the upper and 6.7 in (17 cm) on the lower, which take magazines, baskets or a stack of coasters and stay reachable from the sofa without getting up.
Both halves run on casters. Roll the side table to the bedside and it is a nightstand with a stone top. Roll it to the dining table and it is a serving cart. Roll the main unit away from the sofa to vacuum and roll it back. A recessed groove along the edge gives your fingers something to catch when you raise the top, and the lift mechanism settles back down on a damped return rather than dropping. The case and frame are solid hardwood with a brushed stainless steel side panel, in the warm wood and cool metal pairing that runs through the whole series.

NOTES
01 / It Turns
A top that rotates a full 360 degrees
The top swings a full circle, and opened out it gives you two separate surfaces. The wood top measures 19.6 × 19.3 in (49.8 × 49 cm) and the stone top 30.7 × 19.3 in (78 × 49 cm), which is enough that a few people around it are not crowded. Closed, it takes up only 30.7 × 19.3 in (78 × 49 cm) of floor and rolls into the corner beside the sofa, giving the room back the space it was using.
02 / It Rises
A top that lifts to meet you where you are sitting
A steel lift column carries the top up and down smoothly, with a damped return and no sticking. Down, it is at normal coffee table height for everyday use. Up at 26 in (66 cm), it works as a desk or a table for a quick meal, at a height that suits you sitting rather than standing. One table covers working from the living room, eating there, and simply using it as a coffee table.
03 / Storage on Several Levels
Four kinds of storage in one table
Storage is divided in several directions. A sunken compartment inside the case measures 15.7 × 14.4 × 3.9 in (40 × 36.5 × 10 cm) and takes the larger things. Below it, an open shelf gives 7.9 in (20 cm) of clearance and a half open section above it gives 3.3 in (8.3 cm). The side unit carries two display tiers of its own. Large things and small things each have a place, what you reach for often stays within reach, and the top stays clear.
04 / The Stone Top
A patterned stone top that earns its place
The top is sintered stone with a travertine pattern, quiet enough to live with. It is rated Mohs 7, which puts it above a steel blade for hardness, so keys and cutlery do not scratch it. Water absorption is 0.06% or lower, which is why coffee, wine and oil sit on the surface instead of soaking in and wipe away in one pass. It handles heat without marking, and it is the same material used for kitchen countertops, which is why a hot mug or a sweating glass goes straight onto it without a coaster.
